Did you know on average the life span for a FULL-TIME agent is under 2 years? Pretty astonishing, right? I thought so too-

There are many reasons for this high drop out rate.

1. The industry is FIERCELY competitive.

Almost everyone know at least 2+ agents. I alone can think of several people that I know that are affiliated with a minimum of 5 agents in their sphere. *RME in exhaustion*

NOT EVERYONE IS BUILT FOR THE FIERCE COMPETITION THAT REAL ESTATE...DEMANDS.

PERIOD.

2. Gaining clients is a methodical operation.

It requires- patience, skill, networks, and time. If you are working with an agent that does not have a solid functioning foundation of these requirements, you may just be a paycheck and that agent may depend on the sale of YOUR transaction which can highly jeopardize your priority interest.

-By no means am I putting down peers in the industry, but high turn over speaks for itself.

3. Agents are considered self employed.

Managing funds, marketing, operations, advertising, dealing with our friendly uncle Sam, and also paying the brokerage that we work under can be costly in addition to all of the expensive subscriptions that we are required to have an affiliation with. Some agents pay top dollar, and redirecting monies can cause someone without experience, an utter collapse of business, financially and mentally.

ONLY THE STRONG- AND SKILLED SURVIVE... ESPECIALLY IN THIS MARKET.

4. Real Estate requires many skills.

Client relations, negotiating, market awareness, economic fundamentals, relationship building & maintaining... puzzle piecing if you will.

Are you working with a problem solver?

These intricate skillsets are highly dependent on the particular professional you choose.

Your due diligence is required. Have you done your homework?

If you are looking to hire an agent, here is a helpful tool to help.

Everyone deserves a chance to learn, grow and develop, but will it be at your expense and at the cost of your dime?

You decide.
